Deleting your Equinow account

This page explains how users of the Equinow app can request deletion of their account and associated data.

Delete from within the app (recommended)

• Open the Equinow app.
• Go to the Profile tab and tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top right.
• Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account”, then confirm.
• Your account and all of your content are immediately deactivated and hidden from feeds and profiles.

If you can’t access the app

Send an email with the subject “Account deletion request” to [email protected] from the email address registered to your account. After we verify your identity, we process the request within 30 days.

Data that is deleted

• Your profile information (name, username, biography, location, avatar and cover images)
• Your ride records, metrics and routes
• Your posts, comments, likes and saved content
• Your follow / follower relationships, blocks and mutes
• Horse records you created and your horse relationships
• Media you uploaded (photos)

Retention periods

• Immediately: On request, your account and content are instantly hidden from all feeds and profiles in the app.
• 30-day recovery window: Data is kept recoverable (soft-deleted) for 30 days to protect against accidental deletion. If you sign in again with the same email during this window, your account is restored.
• After 30 days: Data is permanently deleted from our servers.
• Legal retention: A limited set of records (e.g. security and transaction logs) may be retained longer where required by applicable law. Such records are anonymized and are not linked to your identity.
